Authority, run states, and execution vocabulary
Use this page when you need the exact public meaning of a consequence class, lifecycle state, publication mode, or validation option.
Run states
- RECEIVED
- The objective has been durably admitted.
- QUEUED
- The run is queued for execution.
- EXECUTING
- The bounded implementation action is in progress.
- VALIDATING
- Configured deterministic validation is running.
- PUBLISHING
- The authorised branch or pull-request publication is in progress.
- RECONCILING
- DoneState is reconciling durable intent with observed remote effects.
- AWAITING_VERIFICATION
- Execution is sealed and waiting for an independent verifier.
- VERIFIED
- A trusted independent verification response matched the sealed subject.
- BLOCKED_AUTHORITY
- Required consequence authority was not granted.
- BLOCKED_CAPABILITY
- A required capability, credential, or integration was unavailable.
- BLOCKED_SAFETY
- A safety invariant stopped the run.
- AMBIGUOUS_EFFECT
- DoneState cannot prove whether a consequential remote effect occurred.
- FAILED_SAFE
- Execution failed without claiming the desired outcome succeeded.
- CANCELLED
- The operator cancelled an eligible queued or active run.
Publication modes
- pull_request
- Publish the bounded branch and open a GitHub pull request. This is the hosted default and does not grant merge authority.
- branch
- Publish the bounded branch without opening a pull request.
Validation profiles
autonodepythonrustgononeauto lets DoneState choose a supported deterministic profile. Explicit profiles are node, python, rust, and go. noneskips the built-in validation profile but does not bypass independent verification.
Verification requirement kinds
- path_exists
- Require a repository path to exist.
- path_absent
- Require a repository path not to exist.
- file_contains
- Require a file to contain expected values.
- json_equals
- Require a JSON Pointer location to equal an expected value.
- changed_files
- Bound the changed-file set and allowed paths.
- github_checks_pass
- Require named checks to pass on the exact observed head.
